Steve Bennett - SQEQ Manager

As Operations Manager, Steve will drive the importance of health, safety, and wellbeing for the end-users and liaise with other duty holders. He will provide input and manage the development of the construction control plan during the construction phase so that building safety risks arising from construction are fully recorded and addressed as part of the BSR Gateway process. He will manage the building works carried out in occupied buildings so that they do not undermine the existing safety arrangements.

Steven’s primary focus is on the delivery of Facade Remediation projects providing solutions that ensure fire safety in accordance with Building Regulations and relevant guidance.

Prior to joining Atlas Facades in 2021, Steven spent two years at Countryside, where he worked on the regeneration of the Dollis Valley Estate in Barnet. Steven has led and delivered projects for a range of organisations including Countryside, Keepmoat / Engie, Wates, Willmott Dixon to varied clients including L&Q, Clarion, Catalyst and Shepherds Bush.

Steven has over 17 years industry experience of working on regeneration projects across London, and the South-east. He leads his projects by example with the full collaboration and engagement of the consultants, supply chain partners, and clients with a clear focus on Quality and safety.

He achieves this by:
• Understanding and communicating the commercial aims of the project and business objectives

• Identifying key project indicators

• Monitoring and measuring delivery quality and standards

• Ensuring that all team members understand, implement and adhere to the company SHEQ policy/strategy.

• Ensuring that SHEQ requirements are always upheld to the highest of standards.

• Providing project direction, focus and consistency across the project.

• Supervising Site Manager/s

• Monitoring the quality of workmanship on site

• Complying with all the roles and responsibilities as set out within the SHEQ management system
